Monday:
I don't remember much from this day. I read a lot of computer books. I impulse bought a treasure chest from Fred Meyer. Alice made me Loco Moco. Good thing too, 'cuz we were hungry after chasing bunnies all weekend:



Watched the earth be destroyed by a meteor.

Tuesday:
Watched Brasil vs Ghana at 8:00am at a Brasilian restaurant on the Ave. My ears are still ringing. Samba bands are awesome. If I ever go to war, I'm bringing a freakin' Samba band with me. You have no idea. Samba. Then I went to the University Bookstore and impulse bought a book (and other things). Had lunch w/ Alice. Went to physical therapy for my shoulder (still). Read more dorky stuff. Went to Shorty's. Saw the Riverboat Gamblers play at the Crocodile. Their singer jumped up on a shelf in the back of the room and used Zack's shoulder to get down. Good show. Drank cheap beer. Drank some more. Actually found my way home about 2:00.

Wednesday: Spent over $1,000 on fixing general problems with my car and half its brakes. Have another $1,000 to go. I am sad. Read more. Cleaned a little. Watched Superman Returns in 3D at IMax! Fun movie, but the 3D was disappointing. Only four scenes, and the only one that looked good was the one with a goat. It is obvious to me that goats lend themselves well to the 3D medium. What kind of people go see Superman Returns at IMax on opening night? Husky goateed gay men. Literally hundreds of them. Slept.

Watched this poor kid romance his stuffed dog.

Thursday:
Balanced checkbook and paid bills. Panic attack. Put stuff up for sale on Craig's List. Drummed up some business for when I return after the 4th. Sent out an invoice. Signed up for Google AdSense on PirateJokes.net. I made $0.50! I'm also #3 on Google now for the term 'Pirate Jokes', which has given my traffic a healthy boost. Alice made salmon salsa, which sounds disgusting but was the most amazing thing I've had in a long time.

We are all really tiny. That's fun to do with Google Universe, too.

Friday:
Followed up on some business calls. Today I kidnap Alice and journey to Oregon to spend the weekend w/ me folks. Spent the day bothering my old coworkers. My avocado has strange crop circle-like markings on the inside of the skin. Here's what I ate today:



I also learned about Miko's foodblog. I've heard the rumors for a long time, just didn't hear the URL.

Star Wars Episode III in Chinese in English.

Conclusions:
- It's really good to read books on software development if you're a developer.
- Bunnies are too fast and smart for me to catch. My sympathies to Mr. Fudd.
- Time goes by about 20x faster when you don't have a real job.
- Google AdSense and Google Analytics are amazing.
- How can I run by an Indian Reservation to pick up illegal fireworks if I'm not leaving Seattle until 4:00?
