Well, today I flew in to California, and my arms aren't that tired at all! I decided to leave my laptop behind, by golly, and am going to spend one and a half very nice weeks with no real computer obligations (minus my on-call Monday). It's a beautiful thing. I even brought a sketchbook for what it's worth, and drew a bowling bunny rabbit while on the plane. Good stuff.
Tonight my sister, her husband and I solidified some plans to go to Las Vegas for a couple of days. I am excited - Las Vegas seems like a delightful place for a guy like me. Single, 22, mrrroowwwr! Can't wait. And then Palm Springs for Christmas, and Andrea's folks' place in San Diego, and maybe a little romp in Tiajuana w/ international traveling companions Andrea and Elicia (aka ::).
Did anybody see the Saturday TV Funhouse short last night about blue-state Santa? That was so hilarious. "No, to me the US is two nations. The US (shows map of East coast and West coast) and DumbF***istan (map of all the red states)". Santa is so political.
I wanna see Dodgeball so bad it makes me want to grow a cool mustache...
I think everybody out there should try to cancel a credit card. Just call up and say you're tired of paying the high rates and would like to pay it off and cancel. You'll get a better rate, that is the Michael Karikas guarantee.
I really like lights! When I was growing up I also went into the lighting section of Wal*Mart and just stared with amazement. Flying into Burbank after dark was just that much more spectacular. I think when I get back to Seattle I'm going to invest in some serious candlepower... well, that's not true.
I'll probably be ignoring my balrog for the next ten days or so while on holiday. Please leave a message and I'll return your call as soon as possible! Happy Holidays!

As a TEMPORARY member of a central "DumbF***istan" state I must say I like blue-state Santa.
Also, I offer up a "Bushism" taken from the "George W. Bushisms" desk calendar I received as a gift...
"[T]he illiteracy level of our children are appalling."
... 'oye!

You forgot the main reason you're going to Vegas: all those dates. No, not the womens. The ones in the nice, shiny bottles that they bring you on a tray for free.

What can I say. You, Mike, are so f*ing cool. I will see you in T-town. Mrrroowwwr!
And then you said:
