I hate being sick. Again. At least this one went fast...
So the biggest new thing of the past week is that I'm going to be working on a student film! Yay! I'm on the
UW Film Club mailing list, even though I don't go to the U nor am I a paying member. So, I got an email saying that these fine people are doing a casting call, looking for speaking roles and extras, and I met with them to see what I could help with. Apparently I'm going to be doing their sound editing, along with possible other editing and maybe an extra role or something. Beyond that I'll also be filming them 'behind the scenes' for a making-of documentary they'd like to do. Should be a blast. I'm not 100% clear on the plot, but it mixes the finer ingredients of
Donnie Darko,
Chai, and student filmmaking. I'm stoked, even though I'll be pretty sparse for the next couple months because of it.
I did indeed ride a few electric bikes on Monday, and they were great. No
Sparky, for sure, but I'm going to invest in one. I'm planning to go down there again on either Saturday or Monday and decide which one is more well-suited for me. The
Lite is the pinnacle of electric bike technology, but the
Suede E has a twist throttle for an extra boost, and even cruise control! Granted that neither of these do electric assisting past 19mph or so, but still... it's cool. The twist throttle reminds me of Sparky.
I turned down my first freelance job the other day, and am holding true to my desire to introduce no new clients into my life. I have plenty of work to do for existing peeps, fo shizzle. It was weird to say 'no'.
As the smart-smart Miko noticed, I did indeed change the layout of the links on the left. Things were getting a little too long and scary. I'm not quite happy with the look of it for now, but I'll worry about that later. I also fixed (I think) the deal where entering your name/url into the comments box wouldn't remember you information... it should now. That was the original plan.
Wtf is up
with this?

Dr. Moreau is never around when you have the really important questions to ask.

You don't need bio-engineering to breed Ligers. All you need is a willing female tiger and a male lion. Or is that for a Tigon? I can't remember. Iunno about the skills in magic though. Maybe bowhunting skills or nunchuck skills though.

Let's steal the technology and breed Ligers for their strength and skills in magic.
And then you said:
