Wow, so I've really been working non-stop since I came back from vacation on the new
LuxuryRealEstate.com site. It's insane. I'm now insane. But this is not the place to talk about either.
Sorry, no Hawaii pictures yet. Soon. Ok, here's one:
I'm so happy my face is going to launch into the sky.
Alice's hat is so big it could almost be an island.
Besides that, what's been happening? As of today, Alice is 24! Happy Birthday! I'll be there soon enough. Homie James also had a birthday recently. When are we going to the kegger at your fancy university, James?
I have amazing things planned for this year. Pirate jokes, people. So many pirate jokes. They're coming at me left and right. I got two more in this morning, you'll just have to go to
Pirate Jokes Central and see for yeself!
These things have brought me great joy over the past week:
-
Scroll down to Pandog!
-
Apple Beer
-
iPod stereoscope
- The dog show introduced me to this new breed, the
Dijon Bris. You've gotta see these things walk. They have a
secret club.
-
Bikini Calculus
And, mark your calendars:
- January 24:
Dan Rather - LIVE! - on ice!
- January 31 - February 19: The World Premier of
The Wedding Singer: The Musical
- April 1:
Alpacapalooza
Speaking of events, Alice and I got to attend the final dress rehearsal for an Opera,
Die Fledermaus (or as I like to call it,
Die Fledermaus, Die! or
Das Fledermausenkrantz). It was my first opera experience, and wow, it was just amazing! It was hilarious! It was in a language I understood! It had great singing! Slapstick comedy! Amazing sets! Dastardliness! Giant Champagne people! Great plot! Top notch symphony! Local jokes ("So many complaints, you'd think we're trying to build a monorail!"). Opera singers that make fun of opera singers! Hungarians! It was a great time. Heavy drinking was blamed for all the craziness in the opera, also my favorite excuse of all time.
Those writers from 1874 are the shizz. Also, tomorrow is MLKJr day, which I do not get off, as I work in a coal mine.

After months and months (years?) of thinking I finally came up with a pirate joke today. I submit it in hopes of it magically appearing, but NO ... you're denying me of my 0.3 seconds of fame! I demand you post it immediately, or suffer even more obscure computer-nerd pirate jokes!

Okay, okay, one more bit of piraty goodness - This week's episode of Saturday Night Live had a great pirate convention sketch - I bet you can download it online!

Great Hawaii pics, Mike! You know I am all about the musicals, so I was disappointed to hear that the "5th Ave" theater of the Wedding Singer was not referring to Fifth Ave in NYC. Drats! Tell me how it is, arrrrrrrrrrrright?
