...those were the words spoken to me by co-worker
James on Monday. His prophecy is being fulfilled hour by hour - Tuesday I was at work until 8:30 (actually went home and then back to work), tonight I was there until 9:15... good grief. Props to
Jason for enduring a similar fate tonight. Tomorrow should be similar. Then it's Cabo time. I'll stop complaining about work now, although I realize it's an awfully fascinating subject. This weekend will be the best weekend of my life because then this week will be over.
Isn't this one of
the coolest pictures you've ever seen? I love it. I would set it as my wallpaper at work, but would like to avoid false claims of "Dude, you're into clown chicks?" Not ones with makeup, duh.
Earlier this week I thought this site was 'hacked' into. I saw some strange messages on the screen that were not mine, and nothing was really working - I was troubled. Immediately I suspected
Garhan, since he attempted to leave a comment about it, and one of the mystery messages was a reference to the Megadeth classic
Symphony of Destruction.
I spent a lot of time investigating... at one point I thought it was somebody in San Jose posing as the Yahoo! search engine spider... turns out it was just the Yahoo! search engine spider. I finally discovered what it was - it was my own error message! When this website can't connect to its own database, it puts up a mini 'fake' entry saying that something has gone horribly wrong. I completely forgot about that! Duh Mike, duh. In a way I feel like I hacked my own site, and that's just loco, essé.
So the latest news is that I'm going to a Karikas family reunion in June. This is exciting, because I haven't seen many of these people since I was about 4, and even then I wasn't really paying attention. The funny thing about this reunion is that apparently you need the last name 'Karikas' to be invited - therefore only about 7 or 8 people will be attending. I see that this rule is the asshole side of my family coming out. I look forward to getting drunk with these old fogies.
Karikas link of the day:
The Mootersaan.
Saturday I go snowboarding w/ Andrea! I'm excited to get out in the snow, I'm sooo happy that bastard jet stream decided to pay us a little visit after all.
Cell phone update: The keypad only lights up when it's dark! If it's light it detects it and doesn't light up! That's so cool. I was talking to English
Ben the other day on the phone, telling him about my new cellphone.
Ben: "Brand new mobile, you old bean? Does it have a radio then?"
Me: "Oh... no, no radio. It plays MP3s though."
Ben: "That's rubbish, you old geezer. Utter bollocks! Beg your pardon now, it's time for tea."
Me: "Nevermind the bollocks. Cheerio, old chap. Chim-chim chiree!"
...our conversation went something along those lines.
Next Friday is my birthday, and you know what I want more than anything else? A massage, to melt away the slab of granite that is my back and neck.
Update:
Miko informs me that
Mitch Hedberg is dead! This week hold no joy for anyone.

I bet your insurance covers massage. That would be the most cost-efficient way to get one, since your poor friends would pay at least $60, while you could just pay $5-15, depending on your co-pay. Gyahh. Go get your ham!
Mike, 4-1-2005 with $8.36
