Tunes Fantastic Plastic Machine - Fantastic Plastic Machine (kexp)

My epic journey is over - I'm officially out of The Bagley Estate (my apartment in Wallingford). I'm really going to miss that place. It was so wonderful, and so was my landlord (Michael Jackson, no kiddin', that's his name). Now I can relax, with no worries of walkthroughs, cleaning, moving, or even other people. Thank goodness.

The last act of my recent live performance, Moving Out of The Bagley Estate, involved having to remove a nasty old couch from my apartment. Luckily, homie Zack helped me out, and we deposited it in a roundabout at 44th and Bagley. Once we abandoned it, people came out of the streets and began sitting on it! I'm not kidding! So, I think that selfless act we did was an important public service. Thank God for people like us.

That's a couch, alright.

Google has been releasing amazing new features every couple weeks or so... I can't believe them. Whoa guys, can we get some air? Microsoft actually released their own Google Maps-ish thing today, Microsoft Virtual Earth. It seems pretty rad, has some nice features, but I still prefer Google's (especially now that it has a 'hybrid' view). Unfortunately, I only got to play with it for a little while before their server crashed and burned... pity.

Last night I watched March of the Penguins w/ Alice. I really enjoyed it, although I was also frightened and delighted by the previews for MirrorMask and Grizzly Man. MirrorMask appears to be the final installment in a trilogy of movies by Henson, the previous two being Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, intent on scaring the friggin' bejeezus out of children. I really want to see Grizzly Man, as its concept and history seem fascinating to me, and I love a good movie starring an eccentric person. March of the Penguins was really good, the footage was spectacular. They brought a boom and tracks with them! In Antarctica! Props to the film crew, whoa.

Thoughts while watching March of the Penguins:
- Is that CG?
- That should be a new color: frosted penguin black.
- If these guys had opposable thumbs, it'd be all over for us.
- Oh, you're so fat!
- Penguins can't be real. They must be robots.
- No way I'd be filming at 80° below.
- Damn, that one's cute.

Today I've been unpacking and generally taking care of things around the house. Tonight I'll probably watch The Last Shark, a direct-to-VCD (!) movie I rented form Scarecrow the other day. Mmm, bad shark movie, mmm...

This morning I made some custom backgrounds for my cellphone. It's only right I pass them on to you, the public. Have a go at these beauts:

Arrr!Biz!Vroom!

I have 1,001 things to do in August, and now Scotty's run out of dilithium crystals. He will be sent into space. Who knew he lived in Redmond?

If you live anywhere close to Seattle you absolutely have to see Circus Contraption this weekend. If you don't believe me, see if you believe this guy.

And then you said:

I'm actually considering it because I was thinking about visiting my brother this summer anyway... Hey, did they finally make the new CD from this show? Did anyone buy it?
Kim, 7-31-2005 with $9.59
You are right... Circus Contraption DID change my life. Let's all drive to New York and see them. Yes?
Mike, 7-29-2005 with $8.48
That's right mystery girl! Everybody should come this weekend for some hot face-rubbing action.
Caryn, 7-28-2005 with $15.29
Damn right everyone should see Circus Contraption - what an awesome show! And I've had the host guy rub his crotch in my face twice!
