Weekend's over - there was good and bad. The bad was that I worked probably 50+ hours last week, stupid real estate conference. Feelance client neglect-a-thon. I also completely missed circus class. The good news is that I bought a guitar (!) and saw some good theatre this afternoon.
Yeah, that's right, I've got an axe. Cheap cheap cheap mystery brand (Austin?), but it's electric and I can rock on it. I don't know how to efficiently rock yet, or rock in key, but I'm working on that. I also need to buy an amp, which will help with rockage. I can play the bass line to Seven Nation Army and the first few bars of Nothing Else Matters. I also know a several chords that sound ok, and three by name (rock the A, C, and G chords!).
This afternoon I saw Oliver! The Musical. I give it 3 stars out of 5 - it was thoroughly entertaining, but the story left a lot more to be desired, and there were a lot of akward scenes. I have yet to see a performance that beats the live theatre version of Saturday Night Fever, and I'm not kidding - that received a well deserved standing ovation when I saw it.
I took Sparky out for a lengthly ride today along the Burke-Gilman... I haven't really been on him since I brought Blue Steel home. In an act of jealousy Sparky willed his headlight to fall off. This is the third time that pesky headlight has fallen off, and I'm not sure what the best way to repair it will be since apparently my scooter tech man has severed all contact with the outside world. I'd like to create some fancy suspension net contraption.
I also watched the presidential debate last week - all I can say is that I was honestly embarassed by Bush's *multiple* blank stares into the camera, stammering, and one-point Kerry attack ("You're undecisive... and undecisive... and, umm, undecisive. When I decide to invade a country for all the wrong reasons, by gol', I follow through!").
