Happy birthday to me... tomorrow. Happy birthday also to
Jason, Zac's lil' brother Colby, and Kofi Annan. It's going to be a big weekend - tomorrow I'm going to see Garbage w/ roommate Caireny, followed by Karaoke Madness on Saturday. Annnnd, next Friday (to be confirmed) I'm going to
Teatro Zinzanni w/ Andrea! That's really what I'm most excited about. I hear it's much like being at the
Moulin Rouge! I'm going to fall in love with Nicole Kidman, or at least a prostitute.
Other big news is that I now have a
digital camera (thanks Mom and Dad!). I'm really stoked. This thing does so much - for a 'point and shoot' you can change the exposure, store images in RAW format, all sorts of manual stuff... I'm going to take so many pictures! 7.1 megapixels too - so big! Now I need to make a photo gallery for this site, doggonit. Check out He-Man's hand at 100%:
It records audio notes for images too!
Like this one!
Last night while doing some... research... I came across this link:
Armchair Hawk. In the words of TLC, this site is Crazy/Sexy/Cool. I was not aware that one could buy R/C Mario Karts.
From the makers of
Threadless comes
15MegsOfFame. It's full of free music from different artists - open to anybody - and you can listen to their music, rate it, download it, etc. Fantastic idea. More things should be this way.
It's really bizarre for me to see all this old-time tradition going on in this temporarily post-Pope world. All those people in red and their outfits... I heard on NPR that to appoint a new Pope, all these Cardinals get together in a building, stay there for ten days, and when a decision has been made white smoke will come through the roof of the building... very Harry Potter/LOTRish. I feel like I don't know all the rules. I hope I spelled Cardinal right.
I did indeed watch
The Eyes of Nye on Tuesday - it was a great show! They played two episodes - one on astrobiology and another on nuclear energy. Really cool stuff. I feel so smart! It's funny to watch too... there are so many local 'celebrities' on there. My homeboy
Zack once photographed John Kiester, assistant writer to Eyes of Nye and host of
Almost Live. Bill Nye and his guests are so passionate about their scientific work, it's very wonderful.
You know, I read somewhere that some person thought the word 'passionate' wasn't the right word to use when describing one's strongly liked hobbies and ideas. I think that's a bunch of crap! I love being around and seeing people who are passionate about something - their music, art, film, science, computers, whatever. I know they are passionate because they turn into another person and light up when talking about it. I know they are passionate because given the chance they would gladly make love to whatever it is they are passionate about. These people are Roberto Benigni inside! I can't even begin to tell you how many functions and subroutines I've shared passions with.
This is my cue to stop typing... did I mention I've been getting up at 6:00 the last couple of days? My body can't handle that and it is affecting my noggin. Time for a nap, bye.

Given that my client did not give you explicit permission to use a recording of her voice on your website, I must ask that you cease and desist all usage to prevent further legal action which may decimate any semblance of personal finances that you have mustered thus far.

I want a Finn! A little old Finnish man named Paavo. I'll put him in my corner and drape ribbons and things on him and make him tell me old Finnish tales from the sea.

I think I have a 15megsoffame account, but I've forgotten. I should tell them to email me my info. Everyone should check out audioscrobbler, too. It's pretty cool.
Check out my page.

Oops, I got tappity-tap happy and forgot to write something.
What email address did you use for 15megsoffame -- will you be my buddy? (It's okay if it's too soon for that, I won't be offended.)

I
*AM* the law!
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Dash is actually on the same shelf, over to the right.
You should be careful about what Masters-of-the-Universe secrets you reveal, Jason.

I listened to that fabulous audio note (just threw it in my playlist with all my other songs), and when it finished, the
next song that played sounded so perfect in sequence.

We have them all except Violet. That Sarah Vowell is totally avoiding me.
Now I know that if He-man ever came at me, I could probably knock the Sword of Power out of his hands what with that feeble grip of his. Doesn't he change back to Prince Adam or whatever when he doesn't have his sword? Yeah..you h... [227 more to go]

Armchairhawk is awesome. I totally want the RC F-16 to "put the fear of god into those sissies spinning in circles with their little planes attached by wire."

I totally have the Dash plastic toy. Though Jack Jack, I admit, is cooler.
And then you said:
