The other day I was riding my bike through the park and saw some guy in a wheelchair doing pullups on a tree. He wasn't in his wheelchair during this time - it was next to him. I thought that was really hardcore and wonderful.
I have to proclaim some upcoming events, all are advised to join in my merriment:
March 24 - The Unemployables, Seattle's premier punk band, is playing at the Catwalk, probably about 9:30 or later. They're amazing. My
friend just might be in the band and fuels my enthusiasm. My job is to keep him loaded during shows.
March 25 - The
pirkQlaters play at El Corazon (formerly Graceland). I might have a
friend in that band too. All the way from Boise, ID folks! Good, dirty ska.
March 26 - House show at Zack's! The pirkQlaters, among other bands, will be playing live in his huge basement. His last house show was pretty awesome, I'm looking forward to it. Starts at party time. 80th N and Corliss, folks.
April 5 -
Bill Nye the Science Guy is back! Watch his new show,
The Eyes of Nye, on Seattle's KCTS at either 8:00 or 11:00pm this fine evening.
April 29 -
Sarah Vowell reads at
Elliott Bay Book Company. Thanks to
Jason for bringing this to my attention. Nary a balrog entry goes by without my linking to your site.
In-between all these I'm going to try my darndest to edit that student film as much as I can... crazy times.
Today I beat the crap out of my friend Sara's Win XP SP1 computer. She just got broadband, and it's true what they say - an unprotected XP computer with broadband is absolute rubbish after a certain amount of time (in this case about a week).
I've been adding a few more jokes and some links to
Pir8Jokes.com - I still have quite a ways to go on design and functionality, and probably won't have time to finish it up until next week. Two friends of mine have asked how I was going to make money on the site... that was never the plan, really. I just like pirate jokes, and will do this country, nay,
the world a huge favor by providing such an excellent resource.

Though, you're still right. Ever since I came down with the case of the plague, I can't seem to make it to 6am.

Oh nevermind... military money isn't my bag.

Jason, you didn't sleep enough last night.
Jason, 3-25-2005 with $6.35
That was purely by chance.
Mike, 3-25-2005 with $1.19
Unless
Ann's in town.

...not on weekends.

Don't you two see each other every day?!? This is the techie version of being under the covers after bedtime with a flashlight and your walkie-talkies.

Damn, you caught me on both counts. All flaws have been hammered out. You will learn to accept me and my short term memory. The book sounds familiar, I'm certain you did tell me - though I can't believe I blocked the pirate jokes reference from memory.
That's pretty cool that you posted at midnig... [3 more to go]

Oh, and I know it's the source of the best pirate jokes ever, but you have the McSweeney's linked twice. I just remembered what it was about that. It's in Created in Darkness by Troubled Americans...I'm fairly certain I told you about it. You never listen to me! You just don't care! I learned it from watc... [9 more to go]

Your pir8jokes link is lame. You need to test your links after you publish them.
And then you said:
