Big week! On Tuesday I went to go see a sneak-peek showing of
The 40 Year Old Virgin. 'Twas funny, a lot of fun! I know all sorts of ways to determine if people are gay now. And, you begin to notice people strangely looking like Steve Carell, sometimes on purpose, other times not. Example:
Two other big things happened this week - Alice bought a condo! Ain't that crazy? She is now the owner of a fine studio (with deck and fireplace) in a fantastic part of Capitol Hill. Simply wonderful, congrats.
This Saturday I had a housewarming party, though the emphasis was really on 'party' rather than 'house', or even 'warming' (though it was awfully warm at my place). It was a lot of fun, I counted a total of 26 people that were stuffed into my 1-bedroom, thought not all at the same time. That was the first time I've thrown a party since college, and also marked the first social event in Seattle that featured my disco ball, as well as the first party I've been legally able to provide drinks for. Speaking of which, I think I went overkill in that department...
Most of my coworkers were there, and nearly all of my Seattle-based friends, which was fantastic. As far as I can tell everybody got along, which makes me happy. I have some amazing pictures of Christina and Miko, and although I would love to embarass the crap out of them I shall refrain. Mostly. Here's a couple that are pretty safe:
Jason lied - he doesn't have a collpsible skeleton after all!
This is the least embarassing photo I have of Christina from the entire night.
Recipe for Instant Cool: Just add solar shades.
Fun party - thanks to everybody for coming. Much better than Friday's round of stinky tofu initiations at work. Some fun facts about stinky tofu are

here. Proof that humans can methodically alter their bodies to enjoy anything.
Circus Contraption is going to be starting in NY soon - David, don't let me down. EBNY, are you going to be in NY at all next month? Everybody who lives in NY should see them, it's a great show. I talked to
Shmootzi and
Harold Smaude a week or so ago about things, they're just barely able to make it to NY but are all stoked to go. Jason saw them last week - Harold played a saw while Shmootzi sang 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'. That's pretty killer. I've been seeing them and hearing them everywhere (yes, I heard a restaurant in the U-District play their CD after hours not too long ago). After careful study I've discovered that I, myself, am responsible for the purchase of 27 Circus Contraption tickets over the past two years, through 0 - 2 degrees of separation.
This weekend is the big Ewing and Clark picnic - it's off to
Roslyn once again!

I seriously thought that the alt-text of the fridge picture was going to say "Gee, I guess it's good that Panda and his friends cleaned out my fridge for me." =P
