Bunch and
Garhan are back in the balrogiverse - let the gianormous comments begin!
So, I have a few statements to make:
1. I am moving. Two more months. That's right. After something to the tune of 3 years living
here, I'm movin' on up (dang, three years? That seems like an awfully long time). Where am I moving to? I don't know yet, but hopefully somewhere closer to downtown so I can ride Spokey to work with greater ease.
There are good and bad sides to this move. The bad - I need to change all my bills, contact, etc, etc to my new address, including paying new fees for changing my business address, oy vey. Also, I'm dead-set on buying a condo sometime next fall, so I'll have to do this all again then, double oy.
The good is that I'm going to live by myself! I've waited five years for this! Oh, how I miss coming home and knowing for sure that
I can do whatever I want without disturbing someone, or being disturbed. I'm really excited. My apologies to
all my
friends who need roommates right now or this summer.
2. I will never succumb to Flickr. I subscribe to the Gary Karikas school of thought, and that is that nobody can make software that satisfies your needs but yourself. I already have a
little gallery program I made a long time ago, but I need to pimp that ride.
Sidenote: Jason - I live the nerd vs wildman struggle every hour of every day.
3. I have no idea
what's going on here, but I think the pictures are really cool.
4. I bought a
Laserpod! I think it'll be here Friday! I'm going to blow up, I can't wait for it to get here.
Per Mariners-lovin'
Jason's baton in the ribs, here are some thoughts and stats on the music in my life:
Total volume of music on my computer
On my main music drive:
- 5,640 mp3s (25.55 GB)
- 232 midis (10 MB)
- 73 mods (15 MB - didn't I have more?)
- Countless Commodore 64 SID files
The last CD I bought
The last CD I bought with my grubby fingers was The Eels -
Blinking Lights and Other Revelations. However, since then I've ordered the Amelie soundtrack via Amazon. Looking towards the future, I predict my next CD purchase will be the latest from Spoon. Those guys can really rock it in 4/4 time.
Song playing right now
Behold! The Night Mare by Smashing Pumpkins. I've been on an SP kick lately, they play some good stuff.
Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me
The Offspring -
Amazed/Gone Away. These songs represent all those brooding moments of my teenage years, damn they're good. I still stop whatever I'm doing and jam when I hear them.
DeVotchKa -
Charlotte Mittnacht (The Fabulous Destiny Of...). This is probably the most amazing song I've ever heard. It makes me waltz and clap my hands before I even realize what's going on. Speaking of these guys, they added me as a
MySpace friend today - that's so friggin' cool. Between them and
MAPH I feel like a MySpace music junkie.
The Postal Service -
Nothing Better. I'm really tired and am going to stop writing explanations now.
Haddaway -
What Is Love?
Journey -
Don't Stop Believin'

www.myspace.com/tomhagerman offers downloads of "Charlotte Mittnacht" & 3 other songs. The CD is "The Breakfast Playground". The songs have a European sound. Fascinating!

A DJ for KCSU (Fort Collins) got a copy Of the Tom Hagerman solo album at the Devotchka concert at the Ogden in Denver. He said his station would place the Tom Hagerman solo album on rotation at the college radio station.

That's excellent Joe, thanks for letting me know!

Michael, I read on a blog that Tom Hagerman who played the accordion and violin & also wrote "Charlotte Mittnacht" will have a CD out by the end of the year. He also performed violin, accordion & piano for the movie "Little Miss Sunshine". The CD is supposed to include "Charlotte Mittnacht" and similar tracts.
Panda, 6-7-2005 with $16.17
Hehe, I got a mention. It must be psychic vibes, man.

Hey, it's Rami, as seen on such sites as Garhan.com: The Photo Gallery. Hi Rosebud.
Al - fear not, there are no tunes here. You're supposed to close your eyes and imagine!
Kim - BBQ? If you find a good place tell me where, I want one too!
Bunch 1.0 (new version coming in approx. 3 months), 6-1-2005 with $18.10
Wow... now that's a person I've not heard from in a LONG time, at least from my prospective! Although she only lists herself as "name", I sure as hell know who that is!
HELLO THERE NAMELESS FRIEND! Very good to see you're still tickin! =)

HELLO THERE NAMELESS FRIEND! Very good to see you're still tickin! =)
Anyway, I figure all this "baton-passing" is an invitation to spew forth my ramblings again, at least for a time. I've been absent as an active being for a while, but I've visited off and on the whole time I was absent.

Three cheers for Michael who has introduced me to the wonderful world of kitty wars. Soon I shall add my own little Cheesy Pea to the battle. Oh, yes and what is Petunia's DNA stuff all about??? Is he really my brother? Well, at least somehow from his site I got here, so it is of practical value to us history types... [11 more to go]

Hey boss, I've checked all of the settings and still can't hear the Pumpkins (or any other music from your site, for that matter)! Any advice would be appreciated, letting me know what to try next. Thanx.

An odd tidbit for you... I am reading this EXACTLY one hour after you posted it. Also I am moving somewhere in Seattle, location TBD but that is A-OK as long as it is ASAP.
And then you said:
