Nick Cave - Red Right Hand, screaming drunks spilling out of Goldie's
Hello Circus Contraption people! I'm happy I can help you out w/
Michael's Thriller video.
I picked up a book when I went to the central library recently -
Computer Graphics for Designers and Artists. A lot of fun, old infomation in there, and some very good graphics that are just the visual style I like (late 80s/early 90s). Some references to 'Macromind Director'. Something I also enjoyed was this statistic:
The human visual system has a datarate of 6,168,960 megabits/sec, at a resolution of 36,000 x 28,000 pixels x 7 bits/pixel x 3 colors x 2 eyes x 60 fps. (per Seth Shostack)
Seth, buddy, how do you measure that?
My teeth have been hurting this week - in an act of desperation I've taken up flossing, and clinging to the belief that my actions will have a retroactive effect! Here's a question though - is it proper to floss before brushing your teeth, or after? I really can't find a way that seems right.
The past few days I've felt very run-down and tired... not really sure what's up. I felt so troubled today that I didn't even go to circus class - hopefully I can make it on Saturday. I feel a desire to run off to Tanzania and run around with elephants, and another desire to stop working completely and live a very poor life making independent films, or at least trying to. Maybe I should stick with the desire of playing my axe.
Oh hey - there's a
new old video up in the video section. It's an old Zac-n-Krack film (Krack was my high school slave name) from my Sophomore year at Wallowa High. You might want to leave it alone unless you know me, but I was psyched about that flick for a long time. Some great one-liners in there, such as:
"This is war. People get killed, people get hurt. Now you know."
"One more notch on my commie death toll!"
"The green and black attack is back Jack, and there's nothing you can do about it!"
God stuff. On a completely unrelated note, here is a scene from Eugene Ionesco's 'Rhinoceros':
JEAN: I don't care what you feel. Brrr...
BERENGER: What did you say?
JEAN: I didn't say anything. I just went Brrrr ... because I felt like it.

Awesome! Shasta will never do, though; too many memories of nasty generic cola. Can I rename her Captain Weinerschnitzel's Fabulous Glue Machine? Or Czarina Hotpants? Or Premier Canadian Properties?

I like to think that I can make 90% of wishes come true on this site.
Jason - your pony is waiting for you in Oregon. Her name is Shasta - you pickup and haul.
Pumpkins are coming!

Funny...I use ACT too because that's what my Korean girlfriend uses. Koreans really do recommend it.
BTW, Andrea, Mr. Karikas is once again called out on the making of dreams come true; I am still waiting on that pony.
And, finally, yes. Pumpkinage is due. I think if I do not see it, the de... [167 more to go]

And, finally, yes. Pumpkinage is due. I think if I do not see it, the devastating combo of ponylessness and pumpkinlessness will deliver a one-two punch upon my psyche not seen since earlier this week upon watching America's Biggest Loser.

Bring on the pumpkin video! As long as it's not that Pumpkinhead II movie you, Zac, and I watched that once -- that was just wrong.
Recommended tuneage --> Green Jelly's "Rock-N-Roll Pumpkin"

Or as an alternative that also touches on the season upon us, you could drudge up a certain horror film from years past... If I'm not mistaken, that was the first "Zac-n-Krack (and cameos by Bunch!)" film using "sophisticated" prop blood!

Ok... I've been caught... if Mr. Karikas still HAS copies of the aforementioned videos, it would be entertaining to find them here.
Also fitting considering the holiday season we're in...

I'm with Jason -- that's how the dentist does me, too. If you're really concerned, you should follow with a fluoride rinse. The Koreans recommend ACT.

How did I know one of these vids would make it to your blog eventually... =)
I can only advise that you don't put any of the "Operation Pumpkin" vids up... some may view explosives and pyro-heads in a different light in our post 9/11 fear-mongering paranoia-happy world... hehe

You're such a liar. Your video link leads one on a fruitless voyage of not-so-epic proportions.

When I go to the dentist, they always floss before they clean my teeth, so I follow suit.
And then you said:
