Too much booty in the pants
Tunes Marlo - Mr. F

Today's Balrog entry comes to you in corners! Corners, they are sharper than balls.

Mike Corner
I decided that drowning myself in an ocean of freelance work was the best way to welcome spring - hence the lengthily break in Balrog updates.

My parents are coming to visit over Memorial Day weekend, should be fun as the last time they were in Seattle was when I got out of art school.

Speaking of AIS, I now officially have my Meow Meow Mix video playing in their south campus lobby on a loop with two other videos, non-stop through July 31st. The other videos are quite long, so I suggest you press 'Stop' and then 'Play' on their DVD player if visiting, as that seems to do the trick. This is just a precursor to my premiere gallery opening of little 3-D led paintings.

I saw good pal Panda yesterday and am thrilled he's alive! And Garhan will be old soon, happy b-day Funkle!

Consumer Alert! Corner
KFC AdToday Alice and I went down to the Capital Hill Farmer's Market, which was cool, but even cooler was that on the way back there was a guy on the street selling a variety of goods... including a unicycle! I was pretty excited. I came back a couple hours later, but to my supreme disappointment, the unicycle had already been unipurchased, which I thought was pretty unicrappy.

Alice and I also went to KFC right before Mother's Day, with coupons of course, and then noticed this little disclaimer at the bottom of the Mother's Day special:

KFC Ad - Truth

Why would they advertise free potatos and then take them away? Kentucky Fried Bastards.

Fun Corner!
One of my favorite web sites is Weebl's Stuff. All the Weebl toons on that site are fantastic, but his new Crabs one haunts my mind all day now.

A big fan as I am of Pets in Uniform, there is also the baby rock-poster alternative Rattle-n-Roll! But I'll take pet over baby any day.

Music Corner
I discovered two bands yesterday, both of which are playing shows in Seattle this Thursday, the same day I already committed to go to some Microsoft seminar thing. Booo. But here they are:

- Pirates-R-Us - Seattle's (correction: Bellingham's) premiere pirate music band... with modern themes!

- Marlo - I'm totally diggin' their sound. Very Rentals-esque. I would actually go see their show before the pirate music show I'm troubled to say, that's how much I dig it. Check out Mr. F.

Dork Corner
I saw Tron last night at the Egyptian - so rad. Even more rad was the group that goes to see Tron - there was a line outside the theatre!

I overheard this short conversation:
"Yeah man, I had a couple glasses of wine before heading over here."
"Well don't tell that to Master Control Program!"

This week I plan to replace my silly old Windows computer with some dual-boot Ubuntu/Win XP shizzle.

Now that Jason has been self-proclaimed as 'bored' we might see some action over at the joint-venture MammalBattle.com soon!

And then you said:
