Tunes El Debarge - Rhythm of the Night

I'm mostly posting this entry beause I was getting really troubled seeing that elephant on the front page every day.

This weekend I'm prepping for Christmas - I've got some shopping to do and cards to make, assuming that my purchased-in-business-loan-delirium printer still works after probably six months of dormancy.

I'm also figuring out how to do some trimming on my bills. Part of that was to remove call waiting from mylandline this morning, and ya know what, they were really friendly and not pushy at all! This whole time I thought Qwest was extraordinarlily evil. That may still be the case, but at least they're friendly about removing services. Yes, I'm officially a cheap bastard for taking off an extra $3/mo for call waiting.

Speaking of phones, I need a new cellphone company when my Cingular contract is up in February. I was thinking of Verizon - anybody have suggestions for the Seattle area with extended service to LA and La Grande, OR (home of insane unicyclers)? The most minutes I've used over the past 12 months has been 351, and I never went above 180 or so during daytime hours.

I really like the idea of building a city on rock n' roll.

Finally got to really play Half-Life 2 yesterday. I could say a lot, but I will say it's probably the most visually stunning and engaging game I've ever played, and I've played a lot of games (just not in the past four years, really).

There is smoke going by my window... why?

Umm, here's a link to a fun puzzle thing. Very creative. Puzzle 6 has been my favorite, and I neded help with #4. Here is a CD I'd like to buy.

And then you said:

Bunch, you dork. That last one did give it away, but it saved me some time.

The real question is... am I a bigger dork for figuring it out?
Da Bunch, 12-5-2004 with $9.47
Hmm... well, you seem to be in the mood for riddles/puzzles... and you need to contact me via ICQ today. I'll save you the time of trying to find my ICQ # if you don't already have it... just solve this simple puzzle... =)

GIVEN:
96667 is a prime number.
Bats are nocturnal.

i am on level 16 then i give up since riddle hurts brain
Garhan, 12-4-2004 with $15.37
Bah... my brain removed the "ed" from "needed" in your ending statement. I was wondering how the heck you got to puzzle 6 without going through 4 first :)

Deathmatch tomorrow? Bunches and I are on ICQ as usual ... we've only got 3 different time zones to work with!
Garhan, 12-4-2004 with $15.35
A hint on #4: Think of a letter I sent you from Nebraska way back in the day that you couldn't read immediately.

Heh, hopefully that's cryptic enough to take some though. If all else fails, turn up the brightness/contrast on your monitor.

Random suggested tune --> Nevermore's "Seed Awakening"
